The Rythm of life and Strings Attached
Ever wonder why we like music? I was thinking that maybe its because it mimics our heart beat or touches almost instinctively some emotions. For me its sometimes just a way of crying out (like the blues). Whats really freaky is how our musical taste s slow down with our physical pace. Remember how you USED to like fast songs?
Of all the Lutes (the class of instrument a Mandolin
belongs to) the sound of the Mandolin is one of the "homiest" and
down to earth sounds. It is earthy, some would even say frivolous to
the sound of say a harp or a violin but it meets life head on
without airs. My kind of Instrument. ust make sure you have
good psture and hold your head in the right positons or you
coudl suffer through an ordeal of a
trapped nerve in neck . trust me not a nice feeling and
definitely not healthy for your spine.

Theres just somethng warming to the heart about a well played mandolin. It has you thinking about family events and fire side chats.

Collecting things for the fun of it
Alright this might sound silly but i recently I have become infatuated with the kind of trickets you find here - Looks dandy when you ar eplaying or even playing around and I also have developed a thing for posing with jewelry and taking shots but I still can't get the sense of planking. Whats up with that?
My various searches for jobs are over. Finally found one I like (took me long enough - I'm heading toward 50). Now I can afford my trinkets and some new gear. but more importantly with the holidays not that far off there is the pleasure of avoiding the awkwardness around thanksgiving and Christmas dinner tables when you get the dreaded stares and what are you daying nowadays questions. I want to thank Renault Car Leasing . A girl has to be able ot get around and without a car that would have been difficult. Renting was really easy with them.
Update on the new Job! Going well. Going to be able to buy a new Mandolin anytime now. LOL!
Uncles and aunts can be the worse. You rarely get presents from them. They are hardly ever involved in your life but then they show up to give you "constructive" criticism. I always feel link the Yanks say - "no taxation without representation". If you don't have any responsibilities to me then you don't get to criticicize but my Dad doesn't always agree with that sentiment. Anyway this Christmas should be fun.. The job pays well and mouths will drop.
